  • We’re located in Rifle, Colorado. Our address for driving directions is: 4611 County Road 237 Rifle, CO 81650. When you arrive onsite, you’ll also see signs for our physical address, which is: 468 Open Heart Lane.

  • Access time depends on the type of event you booked at Vista View Events. Please refer to your signed venue rental agreement for your wedding access time.

  • The maximum capacity of Vista View Events is 200 people. We recommend 175 people or less to ensure comfort and an optimal floor plan.

  • Vista View Events does specialize in weddings due to the way we designed the venue. That being said, we love hosting events of all kinds, especially for our local community. Please reach out to us if you have a non-wedding event to see what might be possible. Please note, because we specialize in weddings, our weekends tend to book 10-15 months in advance.

  • We’re glad you asked!

    Vista View Events holds a Tavern Liquor License. All alcohol and bar packages are purchased through Vista View Events, making it easy and convenient for all our couples!

    Personal or BYOB alcohol of any kind is strictly prohibited and could result in the venue closing your bar at your reception should personal alcohol make its way into our venue.

    Your bar package will be a separate fee from your venue rental.

  • We do require a Month of Wedding Coordinator (minimum) and work exclusively with Chelsea Cholas Wedding Planning. 3rd party planners are not permitted at Vista View Events.

    Please refer to your signed venue rental agreement to determine if a Month of Coordinator is included with your package or is a separate cost.

    Month of Coordination, if not included in the package you chose, is $2,000. Additional planning package upgrades are available.

  • All vendors providing any service to our couples must be professional wedding vendors who carry a minimum of Business Liability Insurance.

    With strict parameters, we allow exceptions to this rule for things like your officiant, DIY florals and desserts. Ask our team for more information if you have a friend/family member who wants to offer a service at your wedding!

  • The following vendors/services are the big vendors that are not included in the venue. This is not an exhaustive list and other services are not included, but this will give you an idea of additional vendors you will need.

    Dinnerware and Glassware
    Catering (appetizers, dinner, dessert)
    Photographer/Videographer
    Music/AV/Additional Lighting
    Fresh or Faux Florals

  • Couples must hire a professional caterer who manages all food service and cleanup aspects, including thoroughly bussing tables.

  • Cups and bottles of water are always available at the bar and included in your Bar Package. The sink water at Vista View Events is non-potable (not drinkable).

    If you desire table water service in glasses/water goblets, your caterer must provide that service. The caterer will be required to bring in their own drinkable water.

    Most caterers on our Vendor Recommendation List can easily accommodate our water requirements!

  • While our county doesn’t have a specified “noise ordinance” we do follow the access times specified in your venue rental agreement in order to respect our neighbors.

  • While we don’t require bulk guest transportation, we highly encourage it, and most of our couples hire this service for an enjoyable day!

    Taxis, Uber, and Lyft are not available in our area.

  • Yes! We allow up to three dogs on the wedding day for the ceremony only. Following the ceremony, dogs must leave the property.

    All dogs must be on a leash at all times and have a pet handler who is 18 years of age or older during their time at Vista View. The couple is required to sign the venue’s Pet Policy and Safety Waiver Agreement.

    Please note Vista View Events is located on a working sheep ranch where wildlife and Livestock Protection Dogs could be present.

  • We do require Wedding Day Insurance, which is also called Special Event Insurance.

    You can get a policy online from places like WedSure, WedSafe, and EventHelper. The average cost is around $180 - $225.

  • Our Refundable Damage Deposit is $1,500. The Damage Deposit is due 45 days before your wedding date.

  • Flammable Liquid (Sterno heat is okay).

    Confetti or loose glitter of any size, Rice, Silly String, Fake Snow, and loose fake flower petals are all prohibited.

    No nails or command strips of any kind can be used on our white walls.

    No fireworks, sparklers, or confetti canons (even if they’re “biodegradable”).
