Meet Kinsey

I'm Kinsey. I'm fueled by my husband, our two boys and coffee. I'm also almost always laughing, see above photos for proof.

Writing your own bio is not easy; particularly when you know its one of the most visited pages on any website. When I was sitting down the first time to write this I asked my mom what I should say about myself and she said, "that you're fabulous." If there was ever any person who knows what I want to hear, its that woman. I love her.

I didn't grow up in the mountains and I can say with certainty that I never thought I'd end up on a ranch. When I first moved to Open Heart Ranch in 2010 I started a now defunct blog called "Camping with an Indoor Toilet......" That pretty much sums up how I felt about the country at the time. It didn't take me too long (read: 4 years) to realize what an extraordinary place Open Heart Ranch is and I'm so grateful my husband brought me here. A few of my favorite things are four-wheel rides with my husband, dance parties with my kids, coffee on my front porch and long walks through our apple orchard.

My passion for organizing people and events started when I was young and has been a passion ever since. I attended the University of Nebraska - Lincoln for one year before quickly realizing formal education was too constricting for me. Let's be real, I don't use the word "constricting" in every day life, it was boring.....and I don't like to be told what to do. I returned to Colorado where I worked as the Waitstaff Manager & Event Coordinator for a country club. An amazing family friend helped me get this job and I will always be grateful to her because it allowed me to put my leadership and creative skills to use again. It also confirmed that I love to plan and execute large events like weddings + golf tournaments and lead teams of awesome people.

In 2010 I was introduced to digital marketing + SEO when I was hired at a boutique marketing agency as a Search Engine Marketing Assistant. In addition to planning events & pretty things, this job helped me discover another Since then I've held a number of marketing roles including; assisting the Marketing Director of a large blog, running a side hustle where I help small business owners develop their digital strategy for their Etsy shops (which I still do) and most recently leading a team of five as the Colorado Sales & Marketing Manager for a national real estate development company.

Building Vista View Events and running the marketing + creative strategy feels like the culmination of all my experience coming together in a business that speaks directly to my heart. I feel strongly about being a female entrepreneur and I am very lucky to be doing this with someone like Katie who is as brilliant as she seems.

I'm so excited to meet you and would love to hear from you. Reach out to me anytime at:
