14 FAMILY-FRIENDLY SUMMER ACTIVITIES IN WESTERN COLORADO

WHITEWATER RAFTING - As you likely know one of Western Colorado's most well-known (and well-loved!) summer activities is whitewater rafting! Here's a few places that can get you geared up and out on the Colorado River!

Whitewater Rafting | Blue Sky Adventure | Glenwood Adventure

ATV & SIDE BY SIDE TOURS - Time to venture off the beaten path friends! The mountains are waiting for you to explore! Choose from ATVs, Jeeps, Segways and more! Choose your own adventure!

ZIPLINING - Experience the rockies from a new height (see what I did there?) If you do book a zip lining tour can we talk about it? (This is Kinsey by the way). If you're cool with it, I'll just live vicariously through you.

Colorado Zip Line Adventures | Rock Gardens

FLY FISHING - Water, Mountains, Fish, Sunshine. Need I say more?

Roarding Fork Anglers | Fly Fish Glenwood

PADDLEBOARDING - Great news! If you're excited about paddleboarding you can do this right on Harvey Gap Reservoir (right below Vista View Events!) or at Rifle Gap Reservoir which is just a few minutes down the road.

RIVER KAYAKING - Sort of like whitewater rafting...but in a smaller boat. I'm kidding...sort of. There's space on the Colorado River for seasoned and beginning kayakers!

Doc Holiday spent his last years in Glenwood after helping his friend Wyatt Earp at the shootout at O.K. Corral? Take a peek into the past with a tour to some of our historical hot spots!
