Signature Drink Ideas for a Summer Wedding
We love a good signature drink (and a cute custom bar menu!) here at Vista View Events.
Now that our venue has a liquor license, we’ve had a blast helping our couples come up with signature drinks that fit their personalities and the theme of their reception and we want to help you do the same no matter where you’re getting married.
Below we’re sharing six signature drinks ideas for summer weddings!
Pro Tip on Cost
When it comes to Signature Drinks at Your Summer Wedding your drink may or may not cost extra depending on the style you choose, the complexity of your ingredients, and whether or not your bartending company traditionally stocks what you’re looking for.
Be prepared to pay an additional cost if your signature drink utilizes ingredients that are not on your bartending company’s drink menu.
Here’s a quick example: we provide signature drinks in some of our bar packages here at Vista View Events. That being said, we don’t stock edible flowers like the ones used in some drinks below as they’re not a common bar garnish (like lemons or limes). In that instance, our couples would pay extra for the add-on of edible flowers.
Watermelon Margarita on the Rocks
Always a crowd-pleaser, no Summer Wedding Signature Drink list would be complete without mentioning a margarita variety! For a fresh take on an old favorite, we suggest a Watermelon Margarita on the Rocks.
This signature drink is made with white (also known as silver or Blanco) tequila, watermelon juice, watermelon simple syrup, lime juice and garnished with a slice of melon (or lime!) and rimmed with coarse salt.
Lavender Blueberry Vodka Spritzer
This gorgeous drink is made with: vodka, club soda, lime juice, and blueberry + lavender simple syrup. You can garnish with a sprig of lavender and a small handful of blueberries.
It’s refreshing and very easy to make but looks super thoughtful - win-win!
Our venue, Vista View Events, is located near fresh lavender farms like Sage Creations so we’re able to use local lavender. If you can, try to do the same! If not, you can get organic lavender sprigs online from places like Etsy.
Cold Pink Champagne with Rose Garnish
If you have a blush wedding color palette or just want a crazy-easy signature drink the Cold Pink Champagne with Rose Garnish could be a hit for you. No long ingredient list here, folks. All you need is pink champagne and, you guessed it, lose rose petals.
Your bartending company can likely procure the rose petals for you (and the alcohol of course) but if you’re DIY’ing your bar, you can easily get edible rose petals online like these from Amazon.
Any pink champagne or rose will work here so just pick your favorite!
The Tuscan Pear
Shoutout to Grey Goose for this delicious recipe that’s perfect for summer!
The Tuscan Pear has a more complex ingredient list than the drinks we’ve shared above but is totally worth it if you want to up your signature drink game.
Here’s what you’ll need: pear vodka, limoncello, ginger liqueur, simple syrup, orange juice. For garnish: mint leaves, dried pears, coarse sugar for rimming.
Rosemary Greyhound
We love this slight twist on the classic Greyhound cocktail. The flavor of this drink is delicious and it smells good thanks to the rosemary!
Here’s what you’ll need to make it happen: Rosemary simply syrup, vodka, grapefruit juice. For the garnish: a sprig of rosemary and/or a slice of grapefruit.
